But, Zelda is strong. She’s also the Seventh Sage and leader of the Sages. It is only unfortunate that her personality isn’t explored very nicely and she just appears sporadically during the sport. She managed to have kidnapped shortly after showing herself to Connect and couldn’t break out despite her power and abilities.

Missing Potential: Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass

I can not even begin to describe how badly I wanted Tetra to be higher on this list. The reason she is so high on this list is due to Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and Zelda’s Adventure. Though it can be argued that the Zelda in Zelda’s Adventure game is another Zelda, the simple fact remains that she scored ridiculously large because of her agency and presence in the game. The previous two CD-i titles only feature her as the main, playable personality where Link gets kidnapped and that she saves him. She has lots of spunk and is fearless in conflict. Exactly like Tetra, she doesn’t let anyone push her around. In both games, she’s the protagonist.

Hyrule Warriors is just another non-canon Zelda name, but it could be a disservice to this list if we ignored it. One glance at Princess Zelda in Hyrule Warriors is all it takes to see why she would make it in the 3rd spot. Zelda is plagued by nightmares and their potential scares her. She begins to start looking for a warrior who could help to protect her kingdom, but a military strikes before she can make a decision. So, rather, she requests the troops to fight and marches together to the fray. Zelda goes missing during the battle, but it is not since she was kidnapped. Rather she transforms into Sheik and struggles alongside Link and Impa to safeguard her people. Zelda certainly kicks butt in Hyrule Warriors. Contrary to her Ocarina of Time counterpart, she doesn’t get kidnapped shortly after revealing herself. She proceeds to battle through the match and is a significant presence in the gameplay and story. The only downside is that she is not well explored as a character. A lot of emphasis is placed on her as a mystery and not as a character.

It took some time and contemplation for me personally to set the Breath of the Wild Zelda with this record, especially this particular high. Zelda isalso on the outside, not really that interesting.
